Bart Jan Hoevers was re-elected as President and emphasises: ‘With the newly issued regulation on hydrogen and decarbonised gas markets, we are ready to tackle the next chapter of the energy transition while maintaining the role of gas networks as reliable, resilient, flexible and affordable infrastructure. I am honoured to be re-elected to this position and my priority is to ensure ongoing open and transparent stakeholder engagement. I take this opportunity to thank the ENTSOG team for their commitment and dedication to maintaining high standards and expertise.’
The ENTSOG Board members for the next three-year term have also been appointed. The new Board comprises 12 members from leading European gas network operators. Valerie Hackl will represent Gas Connect Austria on the ENTSOG Board.
Piotr Kuś was already confirmed as Director General for the same term of office in October. He emphasised the challenges of recent years, including the 2022 energy crisis and the adaptation of infrastructure for renewable and low-carbon energy.
