Valerie Hackl and Stefan Wagenhofer will form the Management Board of Gas Connect Austria (GCA) from 1 January 2025. The Supervisory Board of the gas transmission and distribution system operator is thus relying on an experienced management duo with many years of management experience and energy expertise.

Peter F. Kollmann, Chairman of the GCA Supervisory Board, is delighted with the new appointments: "With Valerie Hackl and Stefan Wagenhofer we have two competent leaders at the helm of Gas Connect Austria. Challenging times require an experienced team to shape the energy transition and ensure security of supply. We would also like to thank Harald Stindl for his many years of successful work".

Valerie Hackl has many years of experience in various management positions, including as commercial managing director of Austro Control GmbH from 2019 to 2024 and previously as a member of the management board of ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG. She also worked for several years in strategy consulting and holds a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen. In addition to her extensive management experience, she has in-depth expertise in regulatory management, which is relevant for the successful management of the company's complex regulatory requirements.

Stefan Wagenhofer joined the management team of Gas Connect Austria in 2011. A graduate in business administration, he previously held various management positions at OMV and Siemens. As an expert in the energy sector, he brings in-depth knowledge of the Australian market.

Harald Stindl, who has been a member of Gas Connect Austria's management team since 2006, will conclude his many years of leadership for the company at the end of the year. Gas Connect Austria would like to thank Harald Stindl for his almost 20 years of commendable management work for the company and the numerous milestones and successes he has achieved for GCA and the Austrian energy industry.
