In accordance with the Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (CAM), ENTSOG is obliged to publish an annual auction calendar in January. This calendar covers all auctions that take place in the period from March to February of the following year and provides information on start times and the corresponding capacity products.
The 2025/2026 auction calendar contains the following main dates:
- Annual capacity auction: 7 July 2025
- Quarterly capacity auctions: 4 August 2025, 3 November 2025, 2 February 2026 and 4 May 2026
- Monthly capacity auctions: On the third Monday of the previous month, with adjustments for public holidays or close date conflicts
- Daily capacity auctions: Daily D-1, 14:30 (UTC) in summer, 15:30 (UTC) in winter
- Intraday auctions: Hourly, for periods starting four hours after the current time until the end of the respective gas day
In addition, the calendar contains the specific dates for interruptible capacity auctions, which are determined according to European standards.
The calendar is an indispensable planning tool for market participants and ensures transparency and a standardised procedure for the allocation of gas transport capacities in Europe.
