The visit took place as part of an Austrian visit in view of the Austrian EU Presidency in the second half of the year. The EU representatives had previously provided an overview of the oil and gas industry, their challenges and their contribution to the future at OMV.

Our managing directors Harald Stindl and Stefan Wagenhofer informed the EU delegation about the Austrian gas market, the important role of natural gas in the future energy mix and the importance of the natural gas hub Baumgarten. The topics interconnectivity in the CEE region, legal framework conditions and "green gas" were also discussed in a constructive exchange.
