The Austrian market and distribution area manager AGGM announced that 7.7 TWh of gas was procured for Austria's strategic gas reserve via its subsidiary ASGM. This is already a good part of the total of 12.6 TWh which are to be purchased from federal funds to increase Austria's security of supply. Three large storage companies and 25 international companies participated in the public tender and submitted a total of 189 bids. The purchased gas volumes will flow into the storage facilities from 1 June 2022 and will be available for Austria's security of supply from 1 November 2022 in addition to the volumes provided by the market.
